Plesure meeting you,My name is Amir Farkash.
I’m Amir Farkash, a certified Shiatsu and Chinese medicine therapist, a member of the Israeli Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and a graduate of Reidman College (2018).
Over the past decade, I have explored Chinese medicine through clinical practice and theoretical study, always wanting to understand how it works in practice. For me, that means observing the body, listening to the person, and paying attention to what changes during treatment.
I have studied several approaches to Shiatsu, including Zen Shiatsu, Seiki Shiatsu, and Shiatsu for pregnancy and childbirth. I have also studied Channel Theory and the Balance Method, completed additional acupuncture training at Assaf Harofeh Hospital, and continued learning from teachers in Israel and abroad.
After thousands of treatments, I have learned that every person responds differently. Throughout my training, one question has stayed with me: what actually works, and how can I use it to help the person in front of me?
I look for a meaningful change in the shortest time possible, while respecting each person’s physical and emotional condition. Sometimes pain can ease within minutes. When that happens, I want to understand what made the difference and how we can build on it.
For me, Shiatsu has become the most effective tool I have found in my work.
I currently run a private Shiatsu and Chinese medicine clinic in Herzliya Pituach, bringing 12 years of experience in treating pain, stress, and orthopedic problems.
I believe that every person has a natural capacity to heal. My role is to help create the conditions for that process and support people in understanding their bodies, feeling more capable, and taking an active part in their own well-being.
12 years of experience
Graduate of Reedman College
Herzliya Pituach
My interest in the body and the connection between sensations, movement, and emotion led me to study Shiatsu and Chinese medicine at Reedman College. Over the years, I have studied with various teachers in Israel and abroad, and with each approach I have sought to understand the practice behind it in depth. One question has always been in front of my mind: What works, and how can I use it to help the person in front of me?
I delved into Zen Shiatsu, Seiki Shiatsu, the Channel Method and the Balance Method, Shiatsu for Pregnancy and Childbirth, and Advanced Acupuncture, along with additional courses and training. I took tools from every source, tested them in my therapeutic work, and incorporated what I found helpful and appropriate for my patients.
For about eight years I worked in a health insurance company, alongside working in a private clinic. Meeting people in different life situations taught me to adapt my touch, pace, and depth to the person in front of me, and to continue to learn from each encounter.
My professional path
At the beginning of the session, we will talk about what brings you to therapy, how you are feeling, and the change that is important to you.
Chinese medicine offers a variety of diagnostic methods. For me, diagnosis is the basis for understanding treatment: why I choose a particular touch, a particular area, and a particular way of working. I combine conversation with observation and touch to tailor the treatment to the person in front of me.
The Shiatsu treatment is performed fully clothed and without oils, and combines pressure, stretching, and movement. I adjust the depth and rhythm to your physical, energetic, and emotional state, listening to your body's reactions and how you feel throughout the session.
My goal is to create significant change in as short a time as possible, while respecting the body's rhythm and capacity. As needed, we will also incorporate breathing, movement, and simple home instructions to support change between sessions.
